It was a beautiful day on Thursday for some Halloween fun at Batavia Apartments' Trunk or Treat celebration.

Deputy Registrars from the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County honored National Voter Registration Day by registering voters at Geneva High School and Waubonsee Community College last week.

The Immigration and Due Process program held at Gail Borden Library in Elgin on August 26th enjoyed a positive reception and strong attendance from the surrounding community. There were 140 community members in the audience. The panel of experts included Sara Dady, Immigration Attorney & Principal of Dady Law Group, Fred Tsao, Senior Policy Counsel for ICIRR, and Jamie Mosser, Kane County State's Attorney. The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County is grateful to its co-hosts - the Gail Borden Library in Elgin, the League of Women Voters of Elgin Area and the AAUW Elgin Area Branch for their partnership in organizing and delivering such an informative and impactful program.

The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County enjoyed the Batavia Chamber of Commerce's Non-Profit Spotlight at their Net-Working It! event on August 20th at Sturdy Shelter. Patti Lackman, Co-President of the LWVCKC gave a brief presentation, and the League hosted an information table for attendees. The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County is a proud member of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.
